People & Culture Generalist (Short fixed-term contract)

We are seeking a People & Culture Generalist to support day‑to‑day HR operations and employee relations based in Dublin 24. This mid‑senior role provides trusted guidance to managers, ensures consistent policy application, and delivers compliant People & Culture practices within a fast‑paced operational environment. The position requires some travel between company locations and is offered on a short fixed‑term contract.

This is an ideal opportunity for an immediately available HR Generalist who might be transitioning between roles or looking to get into contracting.

Key Responsibilities

✔️Lead end‑to‑end employee relations cases, including absence, performance, disciplinary, grievance, and investigations.

✔️Provide clear, practical advice to managers on people management, policy interpretation, and procedural requirements.

✔️Apply employment legislation and company policies to ensure fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes.

✔️Prepare HR documentation such as letters, reports, contracts, and case records.

✔️Support recruitment processes, onboarding, probation management, and contractual changes.

✔️Maintain accurate HR system data and produce people metrics, reports, and audit‑ready documentation.

✔️Analyse people trends (e.g., absence, ER activity, working time) to identify risks and recommend actions.

✔️Contribute to engagement, wellbeing, and culture initiatives across multiple sites.

✔️Support operational change, new processes, and People & Culture projects as required.

✔️Build strong working relationships with managers and act as a visible, professional HR presence across locations.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Essential

✔️Proven experience in a generalist HR role with strong independent ER case management.

✔️Solid working knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice.

✔️Confidence advising managers and making balanced, evidence‑based decisions.

✔️Excellent written communication skills, particularly in formal HR correspondence.

✔️High level of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgement.

✔️Ability to work autonomously while recognising when to escalate.

Desirable

✔️CIPD qualification or equivalent.

✔️Experience in multi‑site, operational, or fast‑paced environments.

✔️Familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., Personio or similar).
