We are partnering with an engineering company who are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior HR Business Partner for a minimum of 12 months to provide high-level HR support to business leaders and drive people initiatives across the organisation. Reporting to the Head of HR, this role will partner closely with senior management to align workforce strategies with business objectives, support change, and deliver initiatives that enhance employee engagement, performance, and organisational effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

Organizational Strategy & HR Consultation

  • Align with department heads to design and execute people strategies that drive the broader business mission.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in organisational design, workforce scaling, and long-term talent mapping.

  • Guide leadership teams through structural transitions and organisational shifts with a focus on empathy and clarity.

  • Act as a high-level consultant on intricate staff engagement challenges and sophisticated performance frameworks.

  • Pinpoint specific HR interventions that directly enhance operational output and commercial success.

Advanced Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Oversee high-stakes disciplinary actions, sensitive investigations, and complex grievance procedures.

  • Coach and upskill management on effective feedback loops, professional growth plans, and corrective actions.

  • Guarantee that all people-related activities mirror current laws and uphold the core values of the organisation.

  • Foster a workplace environment rooted in transparency, personal responsibility, and high standards.

Human Capital Growth & Retention

  • Work alongside L&D partners to diagnose competency gaps and roll out tailored training programs.

  • Spearhead initiatives focused on employee wellness, diversity, and long-term staff loyalty.

  • Cultivate future leaders through structured mentorship and robust internal succession frameworks.

  • Orchestrate periodic talent assessments and resource planning sessions.

Analytics & Operational Excellence

  • Translate HR metrics and people analytics into actionable reports for the executive team.

  • Track and interpret KPIs, such as retention rates and sentiment scores, to proactively address emerging themes.

  • Refine HR workflows and internal policies to boost administrative agility and service delivery.

  • Maintain an active pulse on industry shifts and legislative updates to ensure the HR function remains cutting-edge.

Relationship Management & Integration

  • Cultivate deep-rooted partnerships with senior management and internal peer groups.

  • Coordinate with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and Compensation teams to provide a seamless, holistic HR experience.

  • Serve as a brand ambassador for company culture, modeling the behaviors expected across the organisation.

  • Lend expertise to global HR transformations and specific local change projects as the business evolves.

Qualifications:

• Degree in human resources, business, or a related discipline essential

• CIPD qualification or equivalent professional accreditation desirable

• Evidence of continued professional development essential
