This is a great opportunity for a mid-level payroll specialist to join a small but effective team in Dublin west. You will have the scope to develop and grow in the role and be supported with training.
You will be an experienced payroll specialist with 3 years +experience, confident about answering queries and have a good knowledge of excel, reporting and compliance.
You will have excellent knowledge of Irish payroll & tax practices and also have the ability to work on your own.
Payroll & Administration
✔️Preparation of the payrolls for multiple companies within the group.
✔️Support the payroll elements of the employee lifecycle (new starters, leavers, sickness
maternity leave etc.)
✔️Ensure the accuracy of payroll entries and validate the payroll reports before processing.
✔️Calculate employee deductions and benefits relating to salary sacrifice, taxable benefits, pensions etc
✔️Create reports and work from EXCEL sheets to completed vlookups/ pivot tables and data.
✔️Work closely with the payroll manager to implement process and system changes and to identify process breakdowns and action plans for remediation.
✔️Ensure appropriate tax regulations are applied and that accurate payslips are sent to employees on a timely basis.
✔️Manage all employee queries including wage queries, correspondence and benefits/BIK etc.
✔️Manage administration duties with accuracy, efficiency and in a timely manner.
✔️Process leavers details including issuing tax certificates and calculating outstanding owed or overtaken benefits.
✔️Input Revenue/Tax documents and upload to the payroll system before a payroll run.
✔️Check sick pay entries in the payroll system and record sick payment for all sites.
✔️Administer any bonus payments before finalising payroll as required.
✔️Ensure appropriate correspondence is sent and recorded on employee records in the payroll system.
✔️Make deductions from employees when authorised
✔️Create, print and upload relevant end of period/year employer/employee tax documents/returns.
Experience Required:
✔️Strong track record of payroll administration for 3+ years.
✔️IPASS is desirable but not essential.
✔️Knowledge and practice administering Irish payroll and Revenue requirements essential.
✔️Strong knowledge of Irish taxation law and benefits law, BIK and pension provision.
✔️Excellent excel skills, v lookups, pivot tables, reporting and communication skills.
✔️Excellent systems user, payroll, time & attendance and finance systems.
✔️Ability to work on your own and communicate well across the team and to managers.
✔️Excellent service mentality and prioritises employee service in response to queries.
✔️Accuracy and detail oriented.
