HR Hire is partnering with a nationally-focused organisation in the Social Enterprise sector to recruit a proactive and experienced HR professional for a permanent position. This role is central to shaping a positive organisational culture and ensuring smooth people operations across the company. We are specifically seeking candidates who are available for immediate contract engagement and who have been part of or have led systems integrations projects.

The Role:

This is a broad generalist position offering exposure across critical People and Culture activities, including operations, recruitment, employee support, and capability building. The position is ideal for an individual who thrives on process ownership and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities (Generic HR skills)

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities, ensuring compliance and a positive candidate journey.

  • Manage the HR information system, ensuring accuracy of employee data and workforce records.

  • Oversee critical employee lifecycle processes, including structured onboarding and offboarding.

  • Support financial administration processes, including payroll and pension assistance.

  • Act as a trusted contact for managers and staff, providing guidance on people policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate and monitor learning and development initiatives, aligning with organizational capability needs.

  • Contribute to internal communication and employee engagement projects to foster a connected workplace.

Candidate Profile:

  • You should have previous experience in an HR generalist or operations role, with a strong understanding of core HR policies and governance.

  • Public sector experience is preferred but not essential. Candidates with robust HR experience in other regulated environments are strongly encouraged to apply.

  • Familiarity with HR systems and data management.

  • Strong organizational skills and proven stakeholder management capability.
