This role is for a dynamic and committed generalist HR manager, with the ability and ambition to lead a people function in a high-performance focused business. While initially stand alone, the business is growing and envisages a support role for the people function down the line. The HR function is established, and this role will build from the foundations to create a best-in-class people operations and employee development model. You will be responsible for the end-to-end employee cycle from Talent Acquisition, onboarding, talent development and performance management, while also providing hands-on support to the other business functions. You will work closely with the leadership team, co-creating people strategies that deliver commercial goals, maintain compliance integrity and elevate the work environment to a great place to work.

Responsibilities:

  • Standalone leadership responsibilities for the HR Function and full HR operations services to the business.

  • Hands on management of the full employee cycle including recruitment, onboarding, and development processes.

  • Develop and implement HR strategies to support company growth.

  • Main point of contact for policy enquiries and policy implementation.

  • Guide all performance reviews, probation processes through the appraisal cycles.

  • Key manager and advisor on all employee relations, including disciplinary and grievance issues.

  • Collaborate with the finance function for all cyclical activities including pay, reward and contracts.

  • Manage and implement all HR policies and guide executives on all Irish employment law changes and impact.

  • Lead all required training, induction, and people development.

  • Coordinate employee engagement and team activities on behalf of the business units and create a cohesive culture with strong internal communications, and culture initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as an HR Manager or similar level.

  • Strong stand-alone capabilities and wider generalist HR knowledge.

  • Third-level qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of Irish employment law.

  • Previous experience in a head office role within a multi-site organisation such as retail or similar customer-facing industries is desirable but not essential.
