This is an interim contract role for a highly experienced Head of HR/ HR Director to support HR Hire’s client as Head of the HR function. Reporting to the CEO you will work as a trusted advisor to the executive team and lead a team of HR professionals in a highly regulated healthcare setting and in an unionised environment.
This is an exciting, high profile senior leadership role for HR leader with a background in the Healthcare / Hospitals/ HSE and with demonstrable senior leadership experience in the following areas:
Experience Required:
✔️Head of HR/Leader of the people function
✔️IR/ER leadership level, Union negotiations.
✔️Communications and Stakeholder Management at executive level
✔️Directing best practice HR across the full employee life cycle- including;
✔️Recruitment, C&B + Reward, People Operations, Policy & Legislation, Budget Management,Employee Engagement,Reporting,
Data Management,Risk Management & Compliance, Leadership coaching, L&D.
✔️Employee Relations - experienced lead on investigations, disciplinaries and long term issue resolution.
✔️Team leadership and team development.
✔️Change Manager with project management skills to Chair / lead at working group and internal committee level.
Your Key Responsibilities:
✔️heading up the HR function in a highly dynamic and complex public sector environment.
✔️You will be accountable for the strategy and operational oversight of the people (HR) function and lead a team of HR professionals.
✔️You will act as trusted advisor to the CEO and Executive, bringing deep insights and knowledge of current employment legislation,best practice HR policy and operations and high visibility people leadership.
Qualifications Required:
✔️Degree qualified and have relevant Human Resources professional experience 7 years +
✔️A strong track record (5 years+) of leading a HR function in a healthcare setting.
✔️Strong leadership background and gravitas at senior level.
✔️Previous experience working with trade unions in a unionised environment.
✔️Ability to quickly grasp complex business problems and develop appropriate solutions.
